My money is on him being suicidal.

It's about a war between seven magi and their servants. Specifically, it's about a magus named Shirou and his relationship between his peer Rin Tohsaka and her servant Archer. Much sword crossing, alliances, betrayals, and magical devastation ensue.

That really is unfortunate. I was hoping the movie would be done by a different studio and all different staff so that it'd be different from the series
The tv series had so many flaws it was unbelievable that anyone liked it, this is coming from some one who hasn't played the visual novel. I'm sure the vn is great, but really, that series needed some serious help.

Studio DEEN...that's a bad sign. Condensing Unlimited Blade Works into a single feature film, when it arguably requires more screentime to fully explain than the Fate route they've already covered...that's an even worse sign.
I adore Fate/stay night, but this project just has a cloud of bad mojo all over it.

Ah, well. At least DEEN already has experience with F/SN, and they did do a good job on ROD as was stated earlier.

Read or Die and Fate/stay night are two entirely separate franchises. Doing a good job on one doesn't guarantee a good job on the other, and their prior experience with Fate is dubious at best. Wonky animation, bizarre additions to the story (the CG Sex Dragon, BDSM Sakura), and horridly uneven pacing name just a bit of it, really.
I can't say I have faith that they've learned from past mistakes, much less learned enough to be able to effectively streamline the story for the purposes of a film (Nasu's convoluted storytelling just doesn't lend to being short & snappy, as I'm sure Tsukihime fans would gleefully attest).

I really hope it's ufotable, seeing the work they're done for Kara no Kyoukai. |
*imagines "Emiya" rendition done by Yuki Kajiura along with gorgeous animation of ufotable*
Ohhhh, I'm getting goosebumps of that possibility! |
We had already glimpsed Shirou Emiya appearance (if ufotable will be the case) in the KnK movie 5, as Enjou Tomoe has near appearance as Shirou.

Oh, I remember. Dare Studio DEEN if they will show Gilgamesh ripping Ilya's heart in UBW movie, just like the Touko-Souren first encounter in KnK movie 5.
Or maybe the scene Shirou giving Rin a boner for mana replenishment.

If the original voice cast will be back maybe when it comes to America we may just get Sam Regal back as well and the others(depending on who licenses it).

I'm pretty sure that darkchibi07 meant the track called "Emiya" (awesome stuff), not the character.

Jack hammering will most likely be replaced with the apparently more fitting and not NSFW scene from Realta Nua.
I sure hope this is a movie series or one heck of a long movie, because UBW has two cours worth of story.

Maybe the movie will be in 2 parts.
Yeah, it's sad. We got Studio Deen instead of ufotable.
IF we're lucky, Kajiura and Kalifina will come back for this franchise.

^ We can only hope for that. Although, even if they go back in time and get Beethoven to write the soundtrack, it will help none if they butcher the rest - and they will if they work on it the same way they did on the series.
If they make it into another mindless shounen action, with no hint on the pseudo-philosophical and creepy vibe of the original, and changes of questionable consistency to chara disigns and universe, we're in for a really crappy movie. I hope they at least realize that for Nasu's works character development is first and special effects is second.

Am I the only one here who liked Kawai Kenji's work on the soundtrack?
