Nice try, but the dub (or at least the trailer) seems to be missing the point of the series. It s a comedy sure, but the real draw is the satire, not just the dirty jokes.

This isn't Panty and Stocking.

The problems the show satirises are not a thing in America, or at least not to the extent they are in Japan. So presenting this to an American audience, a lot won't understand that element of the show, so it may be for the best to present it as a pure comedy. Though I agree it is a shame the message is lost. I'm surprised they are even dubbing this show.

Some shows are better dubbed, most are equal, and some are better dubbed. It's just the way the world works.

For me personally, I'll stick with the sub.

RIP Season 2...

But how do we know that for sure? From the trailer? It could be that the person(s) that produced the trailer had lost the message. The lines said here don't seem that different from what was said in the official subtitles.

The trailer is in no way representative of what the actual anime is like. Maybe its marketing, maybe its a bad dub.

Who knows. Either way its not what the original show was like.

I had higher expectations for the dub.

I dunno... there's the opening loading bar of the Japanese trailer...

Yeah and I triple Lord Dcast's opinion, the cast's previous performances lead one to think the voices would closer approximate the Seiyuu's but sadly don't. The narration was fairly funny though.@Raebo101 and @Asrialys, "losing the message" I'm fairly sure doesn't refer to the fidelity of the translation or congruence of the lines in English versus Japanese, but the way the lines are delivered and the tone of voice. Ayame sounds too immature for the character and doesn't stress the delivery of lines intended to be double-entendre, she reads it too flat. Sophia was right on though! Compare the dub delivery to this clip which contains many of the same lines https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mt-mNRU97kg I'll stick with the sub too, but I'm still getting the SOX recruitment kit. Yes, I'm a suck-er for that stuff...Still hoping for a second season though.

I'm pretty sure it's just the trailer. They can't possibly show that much satire on society, even if they kind of tried with Sabat's narration. It will probably come in when the series itself premieres.

I'd go for the former. On top of only hearing two actual characters speak, had the Japanese trailer been made with the same clips, it wouldn't have been much different as the selling point would still look like LOLPENIS.

spoiler[Not that there really is all that much to the show besides that and a cloying use of humor derived from the student council president trying to rape the main character.]

IMO, the moment Anna made her character twist, the show went downhill. Started good, but seemed to loose its way partway through.

Right. I can't really form an opinion on the dub based on this trailer like some people can, so I'm gonna wait to hear a little more.

Same here. I was hesitant about this series when it first aired but hearing about its balls-to-the-wall absurd comedy slant now makes me want to watch it. Laughing

I mean if I'm going to Hell anyway, then I may as well make an entrance.
