Hot damn, finally.

This is a show I'm 100% willing to rewatch as dubbed.

One of the few shows to frustrate nearly all (if not all) the fans by having the protag remain devoted to the main heroine.

Good. Kind of surprised it took this long really.

Although not going to buy it. Went through that roller coaster ride once and that is more than enough.

I think it's a case of Funimation and Crunchyroll teasing the fans. They probably had this deal worked out sometime last year.

Great. Now how about that other popular isekai title people have been clamoring for home video, Funimation? (Konosuba)

FINALLY! This and Yuri on Ice were my favorite series of 2016, and I just got one down, eager for this one!

I was honestly terrified that Aniplex or Pony Canyon would get this and make it a super expensive release (never mind the logic behind this fear, since neither company owns this anyway)

Anyhow, I'll be ordering the special edition on this one!

Ooh, this is exciting! Can't wait to buy this!
Funny though, Bungo Stray Dogs took a while to get a home release as well. I wonder if this means Re:Zero is getting an LA dub like Bungo?

Awesome! Now if someone would license Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu, then I could own all of my favorite shows from 2016!

It took long enough. I can't believe this show is just now getting an American release.

Finally, after almost two years since the show started airing. I am okay with just regular editions, but I want to believe Funimation understands that this important anime should have a special edition release. I am willing to pay $130-150 if they deliver a worthwhile disc release.

And the "season 1 part 1" bit is intriguing. Is a season 2 already in the works?

I am happy. I believe our pestering for a home video release was fully justified because it was taking way too long.

The company I was scared was Kadokawa because they have blocked disc releases for R1 in the past.

I second that.

angelmcazares, that "season 1 part 1" is kind of standard for putting on the boxset, even if we don't get a 2nd season. I don't know if you would call that "false advertising", but they could put it as "Complete Series Part 1".

Hallelujah! Now tell us the cast list, that could be what makes or breaks this release

Looking at their Yuri on Ice release I wouldn't get your hopes up.

Doesn't CR already have this one in their locker?
