Adam Gibbs seems to be showing up in more Funimation dubs, which is pretty good since he has a very distinctive voice

Really glad to see AOKANA getting a release here. It deserves more attention than what it gets. Definitely an underrated series all-around.

Good to see this show hasn't been forgotten. I tried this on a whim when it came out, expecting it to be typical fanservice or harem schlock. Instead it was a surprisingly good sports anime, with a very likable cast. My only issue was that I found that the game's rules weren't explain as clearly as I would have liked.

Considering that Sentai Filmworks has a low dub count each year, it makes sense to go with Funi as often as you can. Though a 4-5.5 hour drive on a regular basis is not my thing if I was in his position. That's why I would use SourceConnect as often as I can. Happy to see this post! I didn't know Funi picked up this series, but I'm glad someone finally did. Also looks like a bit of a Hyouka reunion with this dub cast. Harris, Gibbs, Morris, Tipton...the only major one missing is Dallas Reid.
Seconded! Aokana and A Good Librarian Like a Good Shepherd have been at the top of my VN wishlist for quite a while. |
