I don't think it's particularly surprising that they're using a more heavily edited version of Naruto, since the one being played on Cartoon Network has a PG rating, something they can't do that early in the morning.

The version we're getting on Toasted TV is coming out of Europe and it looks like it's already been on TV in Germany and probably some other places (dubbed into their own languages of course).

At least it's being edited by an actual licensing group who hopefully know what they're doing when it comes to this kinda stuff and have the time and money to do it. That's gotta be better than Ten getting the PG-rated Cartoon Network version and then hacking it up themselves.

They wouldn't hack it up themselves unless it was REALLY worth it. And from what I know the TV series hasn't been repeating the manga's success.

It's apparently edited by Panini, so calling it the Panini edit would be precise.

I prefer the USA dub opening then the european opening.

IMO, the European opening makes the series too childish where as the American opening make the series packed with action.
