Awesome! Please tell me the sub will be there too. I've been reading the novels, and want to compare dub and sub back to back!

Should also mention that Discotek announced back in May that they would release this same movie dub/sub on bluray in July 2020, which they did, just a little over a week ago. animenewsnetwork.com/news/2020-05-03/discotek-licenses-detective-conan-episode-one-love-hina-again-s-cry-ed-anime/.159099

So this doesn't seem to do anything with home video, or streaming, given that it's already streaming on Amazon Prime and RetroCrush. So maybe only for digital sales? That doesn't seem very newsworthy if that's the case.

Oh, that Blu-Ray just came out a week ago, didn't it?

We somehow never did a review on that one, even though it was one of the most widely-circulated movies at 'cons in the mid-to-late '90s and early 2000s. Seems like a good excuse. . .

Yeah, this is pretty much the same deal as with Blue Seed last year. Maiden Japan picked up the streaming license and because they have little to no social media presence themselves, the announcement was made through HiDive and flew over everyone's heads so any confusion over that wasn't as big in comparison.

For further confirmation on Shinjuku from Discotek's side:
