I am not gonna lie, the word “cheat” in the title along did not give me a good first impression.

Japanese creators of light novels, manga, anime and the like borrowed the word 'cheat' from the English language probably through cheating in video games as the relay.
But they often use the loanword 'cheat' as an expression which means 'A person has an extremely good ability/skill,' or something along those lines.
For example, in a dōjinshi about Finnish armaments, a character in the manga says that Simo Häyhä's skills in sniping are 'cheat'. But the tone of the character's saying 'cheat' in the scene is not derogatory. On the contrary, the character's words connote praise.

I think I can guess what your first impression is like and this probably ain't it.
This series is more like Bofuri and noting like that cellphone or wiseman isekai. Basically, it's a slice of life anime, they do stuff a regular pharmacy would do except in a fantasy world like spoiler[perfume, first aid, cosmetics.]

It seems once in a while there's a quest or something bigger like a dragon but the root cause is usually something simple, think thorn in paw makes lion angry.

While I don't hate this kinda slice of life stuff I am disappointed that it got an anime(and eng manga translation) adaption before Isekai Yakkyoku. They have really similar premises but while Cheat Pharmacist is a slice of life Isekai Yakkyoku is a traditional(?) Isekai. Even so, it's pretty wholesome with the protag improving the quality of life in the country, introducing science to a world that relies on magic and even dealing with an infamous pandemic(not covid btw) with realistic countermeasures.
