IIRC, when the show was confirmed to be filming, he was spotted at the sets in Yusuke’s trademark green outfit. I suppose this is just making what was an open secret official.

That's always been the case with a lot of dramas. They always hire actors who are in their 20s to play characters 10 years younger than them. Same thing happens in a lot of Hollywood productions. Heck, that is how they can get pass age restriction laws for young actors! The only time they will hire actual high schoolers in dramas is if they are a newcomer and it is not a high risk project and they can have the actors develop their acting skills along the way. See any tokusatsu drama franchise as an example. A lot of the actors they cast are inexperienced, the usual experienced actors are part of the support cast. |

The poster for the stage play looks so much better than the actual Netflix adapttaion lol
The Rurouni Kenshin movies are the only live-actions adaptations of any manga/anime that lived up to their source material. That's how good they are. |
