That's great One Piece Red has moved up in the All-Time Rankings, but another source says that it had (unsurprisingly) took a drop in the Box Office after this weekend. Dropped down to 3rd to be exact. New releases took the top 2 spots.

Come on, this film has been out for a while now. And usually, interest goes down after a while. Which can contribute to "Diminishing Returns". Which I've mentioned in last week's post.

So, it shouldn't be surprising.

I don't see what point you're trying to make. Of course there's diminishing returns; the movie has been out for 12 weekends, there was no giveaway promotion this weekend and the new SAO film premiered. Film Red's streak at #1 would have ended regardless when the new Shinkai film premieres. Why even bring it up?

Here's a more interesting observation. Unless something drastic occurs, this will be the highest the film will climb in the box office rankings as Film Red will max out at about or slightly above 18 billion yen and 13 million tickets sold.

You answered your own question with that response. And it's to also bring the One Piece fans back down to earth. Also, Suzume's Door-Locking? Let's talk about that through a more related article after it comes out. I am curious about that film.

Although, One Piece Red is a major Box Office hit for sure. Now, I'm wondering if it's going to get some Accolades.

Which fans or ANN posters have had unrealistic expectations about this film's box office performance? This seems like a non-existent problem.

Its pointless to mention diminishing returns when ALL FILMS have diminishing returns.

Oh, you'd be surprised. Some people don't even know what Diminishing Returns are. Particularly the over obsessed fans.

A Non-existent problem here because this site has actual moderators to watch over things.

Social Media on the other hand...

I don't know, you just don't know when those same people come here until they actually do.

I rest my case here.
