not hard to see why.

the power of mini-ika is just too overwhelming. Fair to say that segment in ep5 is arguably the highlight of the season.

Ikamusume has such a huge acceptance in Japan compared to elsewhere
I hope with the next season it takes off much better here

lol, totally agree. Though I think it felt kinda odd being placed right in the middle of the series. Felt more like an OVA or something to end the season with.

Well it certainly had a great reception on Crunchyroll... but we won't know how well it'll do until someone releases it on DVD or BD here. I think marketing the figures (regular version, but especially the mini-Ika and Nendoroid Ika) would also boost its appeal.
