Well I suppose this is good news in general. Don't read these, but they're the first Tokyopop title, western title or otherwise, to get life after TP's demise. (Even if they technically had severed ties prior to the company's closing, assuming I read that correctly. Though in that respect this announcement could indicate nothing for other titles. :/).

Here's hoping we get a flood of announcements about relicensing soon...

These were original works, but they sold well enough. Unfortunately, I don't think this is a precedent for TP's other American series, sans Warriors, Vampire Diaries, etc. All have ties to a different company, as they are either adaptations of a work or side stories.
