Ooh, what an awesome coincidence that I'm nearing the end of the series now (the dubbed version, that is)-- I'm about eight episodes past this review as I write, and hope to fit in one more before turning in for the night Smile. In retrospect, when looking at it in relation to the story at large, this probably hasn't been one of the best stretch of episodes for me, either. It certainly hasn't been as tight and focused as the Munich and the Prague arc.

Still, though.... I don't think I agonized much or became too frustrated about how these disparate stories tied up together as I watched the episodes; rather, I focused more on the individual quality of those disparate stories. And in that regard, I've enjoyed these episodes. They've definitely been compelling, with them being on-the-edge-of-your-seat suspenseful much of the time, and, as the review shows, are still very well-written in both plot and characters (Grimmer and Martin FTW!). I really liked the Eva arc as well... and who can ever forget Episode 49, "The Cruelest Thing"?

Considering the epic length of this series, I'm impressed with just how relatively consistent the quality of the show has been; maybe there's been a dip here and there, but they've been very small, as it would seem to me. Unless the quality somehow dive-bombs in these last episodes, and/or I think the ending is just complete BS, I think this might reach "Masterpiece" tier for me.

Animerican the show last few episodes are very intense, the whole show goes batshit insane towards the end. It's one of my all time favorites shows. Sure there are few parts that tend to drag on a bit, but for it's length, it does a great job at storytelling. I agree with the review. Now he just has to watch the last 14 episodes

I didn't understand this review at all. It sounded like the main complaint was that the story wasn't finished. But I don't understand why anyone would expect storylines to be neatly tied up or woven together with 14 more episodes to go. Confused

If your audience is satisfied with 20% of your story left to tell, I'd say you're doing something wrong. Smile
