On the other hand, Sakurasou on blu-ray = yes!

I'm getting that along with Dakara boku wa H dekinai and their other BD titles. I've stopped purchasing Sentai's DVD-only titles since about a year ago and I'm glad I've held off (see Maria Holic and Nyan Koi for example)

So, while the cast for Maria Holic hasn't been listed yet, they're already selling the second season as starring Calvello and Rial? While I already preordered the first season and I completely expected this casting after Girls Und Panzer, it's still a little weird since this is something Funimstion would do: "Look who we got!"

On the other hand, it's usually not a matter of guessing {or interest} given their casting pool.

Upotte's 10 episodes of little were dubbed and still they remind me once again Pet Girl wasn't. The world continues to go "Huh?"

Hmmm... are they going to try to release Upotte!!'s OVA separately or simply not at all? It was kind of a disappointment for the former.

Sentai's release includes 11 episodes, so there is a good chance it includes the OVA. The TV series was only 10 episodes.

Are you sure about that? The listing shows a total runtime of 250 mins. With each episode normally considered to be 25 mins (although really ~22 mins), that's 10 episodes.

Still no Chuunibyou Blu-rays, sigh.

I hope they didn't forget about it, or maybe they're taking the time to give it an amazing dub? UGH I NEED IT NOW!

Let's see... the OVA itself is 26 minutes and the first episode is just under twenty-four, so I don't think that 250 minute figure is off enough to squeak in an eleventh episode(not that I'll cry without it - the cover does more to make me think twice about buying it).

The current solicitation actually lists the following details:

DVD: Disc 1 (125 min) eps. 1-5; Disc 2 (150 min) eps. 6-11
Blu-ray: Disc 1 (225 min) eps. 1-9; Disc 2 (50 min) eps. 10-11

According to the specs, the sets are 275 minutes, not 250. It's quite common for mistakes to be listed in Sentai PR's, such as incorrect ADR directors, incorrect run times, or plans to release series much sooner than is possible. Their solicitations however, are almost always correct.

It's also very common, actually it's almost always the case, that Sentai's runtimes in their PR releases do not account for any OVA episodes or special features.

It's also unlikely that Sentai would author a second disc for just one episode, even with special features. The set still has the usual 9 episodes on disc one. It's not definite until they confirm one way or the other, but in this case, there is still a good chance it's included.

Upotte and Maria Holic Alive on blu ray! hallelujah! I was expecting Upotte to be a dvd only sub release, so this is awesome. Now all that's left is Busou Shinki. I was going to get Maria Holic Alive before, but I held off when I heard season 1 was getting a blu ray. Glad to see season 2 announced. Also pretty cool that To Love Ru is getting a blu ray, but I would have preferred season 2 and Darkness. Hopefully those will also get blu rays.

For the record, I just got an email from Mike Baillif at Section 23. He confirmed the OVA will be included.

Quote:

Yes, the OVA "Measure Up! Smile!" is included in the release.

Nice!

Super excited for Mardock Scramble BD for the finale and Nadia BD!

Will probably also get Maria Holic Alive! BD and may cave on subbed-only Pet Girl 2 BD (and 1).
