I can't remember the last time Hirano's work hit the top of the charts.

Hellsing didn't hit it off with Japan the same way it has in the English-speaking markets, but Drifters looks to be going the opposite direction. It won one of the sci-fi awards a few years ago when it was first published, this should spur it on but I'm not expecting an animated adaptation any time soon.
