I don't think we'll get to see the final round of the Winter Cup this season. I feel indifferent because while I do want to see it (I don't read the manga), part 2 of Kuroko's Basketball began recently also so they may be waiting for that to get far to animate it.

You mean Extra Game? I doubt it! Extra Game is Montlhy and 1 game will be played (according to the story thus the Extra Game) If you wanna Without spoiling anything i will say this KnB will animate the finals if they skip they TEIKO Backround arc! (pretty much like Bakuman where they skipped 1 full arc to animate the last and final season) |

I hope they don't do that because, unlike the second Nanamine arc in Bakuman that was perfectly skippable, the Teikou arc is essential to understand Kuroko's motives and why the GoM became so bitter and antagonistic, especially Akashi. I'm not really sure how they'll do it, tbh, they either stretch the semi-finals to the max and make a 4th season or they cram everything at super high speed to fit in 26 eps. I'm thinking the'll do the former

Not too surprised that it's 26 episodes, but I'm worried about the pacing. They spent the first half of the first episode on flashbacks/recaps while they've got over 100 chapters left to animate. So unless they cut the useless parts of he Teikou arc (which, really, only the last parts are what matter), I can't help but think it'll be rushed.

Too short if they're animating the Teiko arc. Maybe we'll have a season 4 with just one cour.

I am curious about why the GoM are bitter. I hope I get to see it without resorting to the manga. I just don't have the time to sit and read like I have to watch anime. Also, Kise doesn't seem bitter to me at all. |

Maybe bitter wasn't the right expression, but when we first meet Kise he's kind of meh on basketball and was kind of more focused in his modeling stuff, and in the Teikou arc (vague manga spoilers) spoiler[you see how he kind of loses interest in it
] The way I see it, they'll have to drag the Kise vs Haizaki and the two semi-finals for ages, which is probably going to be paaaainfuuul (like how they dragged the Seirin vs Shuutoku rematch, it took like 3 episodes to play the last 5 minutes) and make an S4 with half Teikou arc, half finals (the final match dragged for like 50 chapters in the manga, that shit took forever and they'll have no problem making it into an entire cour, I bet) which tbh doesn't really please me, but what are we gonna do. I just want to see more Midorima. |
