Transformers Dinobots go Even Further Back in Time

posted on by Jon Hayward

In a determined effort to test the patience and wallets of Transformers fans around the world, Hasbro has announced a second 30th anniversary set for fans, in addition to their previously announced Hair Metal Transformers.

The new set features Generation One-inspired re-decos of the Transformers: Age of Extinction Dinobots in their original colors. Resplendent in silver, yellow, red and chrome, the set contains Grimlock, Strafe, Snarl and Slug, made to look like G1 Grimlock, Swoop, Snarl and Slag respectively. The packaging can also be re-assembled into the G1 Autobot base of operations, containing not only the interior, but also the exterior of the Ark crashed into the side of Mount St. Hilary.

The limited edition set will run $159.99 USD and will be available during San Diego Comic-Con 2014 at booth #3329. For those who can't make the convention, a small number will be available online at some stage to be determined.
