Chinese Figure Animation Gets Japanese Dub with Kana Hanazawa

A popular Chinese web comic-turned-animation is getting a Japanese dub starring Kana Hanazawa. Chú Fēng: School Shock (Young Bee: School Shock) by Bái Māo Sunny has been read over 480 million times. The animated project is expected to air in China during the first half of the year with a Japanese broadcast in the works.

Hanazawa is signed on to star as Ruri (Liúlí) under the show's Japanese title Hinabachi: BEE. You can check out a promotional video made in collaboration with Chinese figure maker Aspire below.

Aspire is putting out a 1/8-scale Ruri in July.
