Ghibli Musical Program Will Run on NHK's International Station

NHK's international broadcast station NHK World-Japan will air the Ghibli no Uta program on February 17. The 45-minute musical is hosted by actor Ryunosuke Kamiki and features performances by child actress Miu Arai, male idol group King & Prince, violinist Ryū Gotō, singer Kazumi Nikaidō, Ghibli composer Joe Hisaishi, singer Daisuke Yokoyama, and the band Little Glee Monster. Miyu Irino narrated the program.
Ghibli no Uta initially premiered last summer and shares its name with the Studio Ghibli no Uta compilation CD collection. The rebroadcast, this time on the NHK World-Japan station, will make the program available for international viewers in English. The station is offered in the U.S., Canada, and other countries through various providers.
