Uncut series to be released in one DVD set this Fall

North American anime distributor Funimation confirmed with ANN on Monday that its DVD release of The Sacred Blacksmith anime series will feature the series in its uncut form. The Nebs blog noted that Funimation is currently streaming the edited-for-television version of the series on its video site.

Funimation announced the license of the Seiken no Blacksmith anime on January 8, and it also announced the anime's English title, The Sacred Blacksmith. The series, based on light novels by Isao Miura, revolves around a young woman who becomes a knight and seeks out a mysterious blacksmith to forge her sword, only to meet him by chance on her journey. Funimation will release the anime in a single DVD set in the Fall of 2010.
