Anime At London Film & Comic Con

posted on by Andrew Osmond
Earls Court, 8 to 10 July; includes guests and screenings.

The London Film & Comic Con will take place at Earls Court 2 (venue details here) from July 8 to 10. From the website:

Attendees should start saving up now for the many-many anime dealers who shall be selling your favourite DVDs, manga, merchandise and goodies in the Anime Zone!

Or if you get tired of all the frantic action, why not sit down and chillout watching some of your favorite anime bought to the very first time to London Film and Comic Con? We shall be showing various titles throughout the day from 9am in the morning right through to closing time!

And if that wasn't enough, anime voice-actors Dante Basco (Fist of the North Star and Avatar: The Last Airbender) and Wendee Lee shall be doing free signings throughout the day!

The Anime Zone is just a small part of what London Film and Comic Con is putting on for anime fans this year. Check out these related areas -

•The Second Stage where anime voice-actors such as Wendee Lee and Dante Basco give talks, the cosplay Olympics, cosplay masquerade and cosplay showdown all take place, and where Cosplay - The Musical shall be performed! •The Artist Alley has workshops on how to draw manga and for a BJD display. •The Cosplay Zone will have Cosplay and Elegant Gothic Lolita activities as well as an area for fans to hang out, take a seat, chill and get to know one another. •The Trading Card Zone will have the usual anime-related games such as Yu-Gi-Oh! and Pokemon Tournaments. •The Video Game Zone will have the usual dance and rhythm games such as Stepmania and Guitar Hero as well as anime-related gaming, modern gaming and something for the Retro fans.

In addition, Mela Lee, the English voice of the character Yuki Cross in Vampire Knight, is listed as a guest on the event's main page.
