Madman Entertainment included a pre-order announcement for the upcoming Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin Vol.1 in this month's new releases.

Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin is the four-part OVA adaptation of Yoshikazu Yasuhiko's Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin manga series which is a re-imagining of Yoshiyuki Tomino and Sunrise's first Gundam anime. The first volume titled "Blue-Eyed Casval" tells the story of Casval Rem Deikun and Artesia Som Deikun (Char and Sayla, before Char became known as the Red Comet) before the One-Year War in UC.0068. Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin Vol.1 has received worldwide simultaneous release through Anime Consortium Japan's (ACJ) streaming platform Daisuki on the 28th of February 2015. Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin Vol.1 is available for streaming in both Japanese audio with English subtitles or English dub for the cost of $6.99 USD, you can find more on this release at Daisuki.net.

Madman Entertainment will be importing the same international collectors edition as available on Daisuki.net. This Blu-ray home video release includes the first OVA with both Japanese and English dub, a illustrated storage box and sleeve by the series chief director, Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, a 296 page storyboards and setting art book, a 32 page booklet with comic text by Yasuhiko and a special booklet running 12 pages. The discs will include staff and cast audio commentary, trailers and a TV commercial but the additional content on disc will not include English audio or subtitles.

The pre-order will close on the 22nd of March at 11:59pm and be available from the 24th of April 2015. You can view further information on the release page for Mobile Suite Gundam: The Origin Vol.1 at Madman.com.au.

The news of Sailor Moon's home video DVD delay was announced via Madman Entertainment's facebook page on Friday the 27th and followed up on their website on Monday the 2nd of March. The message notes;
"Whilst we understand many of you will be disappointed by this news, be assured that this is not a decision made lightly and with the end goal to deliver fans a great product, first and foremost."

A revised date will be released at some stage in the future. This announcement follows on from Madman's previous release plans where Madman stated that they were remastering Sailor Moon for a DVD only release in response to problems with Viz's North American Blu-ray release.
