LDK's Ayu Watanabe Launches New Men's Life Manga in February
posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
The February issue of Kodansha's Bessatsu Friend magazine revealed on Friday that Ayu Watanabe (LDK) will launch a new manga titled Men's Life in the magazine's next issue on February 13. The manga will have three color pages, and will feature on the magazine's front cover. The first chapter will be 100 pages long.
The magazine's teaser of the story reads "Mio's life is changed in a big way due to an encounter with Rin, an upperclassman who is one year older, and...!?"
Watanabe launched the LDK manga in Bessatsu Friend in 2009, and ended it last August. Kodansha shipped the manga's 24th and final compiled book volume last October. Kodansha Comics is publishing the manga in North America, and it published the 10th volume last August.
The manga inspired a live-action film starring Ayame Gōriki (Black Butler, Gatchaman, Mirai Nikki- Another: World) as Aoi and Kento Yamazaki (Kyō, Koi wo Hajimemasu) as love-interest Shūsei that opened in April 2014.
