Ichigeki Historical Drama Manga Gets Film

Manga adapting Yoshio Nagai's novel debuted in 2016
The fourth compiled volume of Jirō Matsumoto's Ichigeki manga announced on Thursday that the manga has a film adaptation in the works.
The manga is a period drama based on Yoshio Nagai's Bakumatsu Ichigeki Hissatsu-tai (Bakumatsu One-Hit Kill Team). The story centers on Ushigorō, a farmer with a small body and sharp mind, who joins a special fighting force with other farmers.
The manga launched in LEED Publishing's Comic Ran magazine in April 2016.
