Crunchyroll Adds Space Warrior Baldios, The Twelve Kingdoms, Dancouga Anime

Crunchyroll announced on Wednesday that it has added the Space Warrior Baldios, The Twelve Kingdoms, and Dancouga anime. The site also added episodes 76-95 of the Miss Machiko anime.

Space Warrior Baldios is available for users in the United States and Canada, and is available with English subtitles and an English dub. Discotek Media licensed the Space Warrior Baldios anime, and it describes the story:

Instead of cleaning up their own nuclear waste, Planet S-1 brings their dirty work to Earth. Their military rulers want to knock us all off so their dying world can relocate here. Discotek Media released the film on Blu-ray Disc in April 2018 with both Japanese audio with English subtitles and the English dub.

The film debuted in 1981, and serves as both a summary and conclusion for the of the earlier cancelled 1980 Space Warrior Baldios television anime. Celebrity Home Entertainment previously released the film with an English dub under the title Space Warriors: Battle for Earth Station S-1.

The Twelve Kingdoms premiered in 2002. Media Blasters originally offered the series in North America in August 2003 and then in a complete collection release in 2009. Media Blasters released the series on Blu-ray Disc in 2011. AsianCrush began streaming the anime last June.

Discotek Media's Blu-ray Disc release is slated for May 28, and will have all 45 episodes in 1080p with Japanese audio with English subtitles, as well as the English dub.

Dancouga is available for users in the United States and Canada. Discotek Media licensed the anime, and it describes the story:

The 38-episode series premiered in 1985 and spawned three original video anime (OVA) sequels. Another television series titled Jūsō Kikō Dancouga Nova premiered in 2007. Central Park Media previously licensed the series. Discotek Media released the series on DVD in July 2017.
