TOKU Announces the Network Premiere of Ultraman Max

West Palm Beach, FL – February 7, 2017 – TOKU, the only 24/7 live and on demand television network dedicated to eye-catching anime, popular live-action titles and cult classics from Asia dubbed into English, announced the network premiere of the fan-favorite tokusatsu television series Ultraman Max on Monday, February 27, 2017.

Weekdays at 7 p.m. EST, the TOKU audience will be able to enjoy one of the most renowned titles in the Ultra series, Ultraman Max. Produced by Tsuburaya Productions, this critically-acclaimed series follows the story of Ultraman Max, an alien warrior from Nebula M78 whose main mission is to protect mankind from some of the biggest and most destructive kaiju ever created. Armed with the Maxium Cannon and the Maxium Sword, Ultraman Max fights alongside DASH, a team of brave young men and women, to defeat any threats that could endanger the planet.

“I'm certain that Ultraman Max is going to be a big success among our viewers, the show is brimming with comedy, exciting fight scenes, epic monsters and captivating stories. The hard work put by the show's multiple writers and directors, including the late Akio Jissōji and the eccentric filmmaker Takashi Miike, is evident in each episode,” stated Jesus Piñango, Director of TV Content Strategy at Olympusat. “The fact that Ultraman Max is premiering on TOKU is not only ideal for the Ultra series fans, but also for those who are interested in learning more about the tokusatsu genre and are looking for top-quality entertainment.”

Ultraman Max has enjoyed great popularity in Japan and internationally, paying homage to previous installments of the series by including cameo appearances from well-known characters and featuring updated versions of classic kaiju such as Eleking, Gomora and Red King. The series returns to the franchise's root with a new enemy every week and a light-hearted tone.

TOKU is owned and operated by Olympusat, Inc., and it's currently available on AT&T U-verse, Cablevision Optimum and Comcast Xfinity. For more information on TOKU's programming, including tune in dates and times, please visit tokuhd.com.
