Rooster Teeth Brings Back Inside Gaming And Several Premiere Machinima Titles
Austin, TX - Feb. 14, 2019 - Today, Inside Gaming, the destination for quick, entertaining, and authentic updates on what's happening in gaming, returns to production at Rooster Teeth by the same team that launched the brand over a decade ago at Machinima. Rooster Teeth also revealed that select Machinima titles will now be available, free-to-watch on Rooster Teeth apps. Rooster Teeth is available at RoosterTeeth.com and on iOS, Android, Xbox One and Apple TV.
Inside Gaming started at Machinima in 2008 as a weekly news update program hosted and produced by gaming personality Adam Kovic. Over the years, the brand grew to include daily news updates, reviews, interviews, and awards shows. In 2015, Kovic and the Inside Gaming team left Machinima to found the gaming channel Funhaus at Rooster Teeth. Today that original team, with the addition of new members, are releasing videos again under the Inside Gaming banner at Rooster Teeth.
The cast of Inside Gaming today is led by original member and newly appointed Editor in Chief Lawrence Sonntag and includes original members Kovic and Bruce Greene and new member / former IGN reporter Alanah Pearce. Inside Gaming offers daily news Monday through Friday with original reporting, analysis, and commentary from a fan-favorite personality lineup. Weekend content will provide longer-form dives into current topics in gaming culture, ranging from reporting on cultural movements in the scene, information-rich retrospectives on important franchises, light-hearted rankings of gaming characters, and reviews on new releases from trusted personalities.
Inside Gaming is produced from Rooster Teeth's Los Angeles and Austin studios and will be distributed on Rooster Teeth apps and Inside Gaming channels including YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Twitch. Rooster Teeth's news channel The Know and resources from Machinima's social team have been integrated with Inside Gaming in order to build a bigger, broader news organization.
