So, I was just watching episode 10 of "Lupin III - Series One", which, as you may or may not know, was the first episode helmed by Hayao Miyazaki and Isao Takahata. As I was watching it, I noticed minor similarities between this episode and Miyazaki's later "Lupin III - The Castle of Cagliostro." These similarities include:

- A counterfeiting plot

- Lupin and Jigen throwing massive amounts of counterfeit money out of a vehicle.

- Lupin scaling a giant clock.

- Lupin navigating the gears of said clock.

- Lupin dressing up as Zenigata (which I believe he did for the first time in this episode.)

- Lupin falling down a giant pit as an antagonist taunts him to some extent.

Some of these seems rather cosmetic, but considering they were both directed by MIyazaki, I find it kind of funny. Has anybody else noticed is this and I'm just really slow, or am I onto something here?
