I was expecting that ABS CBN would gonna make the move in the near future but somehow GMA got them one step ahead. DAmn this sucks.

The title is stupid, Boys over Flowers is originaly a Japanese series not Korean

It is, but the Korean TV series is likely far better known than either the original manga or any of the other adaptations, at least in Asia. Besides, if I understood the report linked to in the article correctly, the licensing agreement was signed specifically with the Korean side rather than the Japanese, so it's being marketed as a remake of the Korean show more so than an adaptation of the manga. Although the report does mention the fact that it was originally a Japanese manga.

the kdrama of HYD was bad so good luck to those who enjoy filo dramas haha
tho
im sorta excited for the taiwanese remake, bc i enjoyed the taiwanese ver as much as i enjoyed the jp one Surprised
