It is unfortunate that of all the characters they could have used for the two hug pillows that they still went with Kanna.

I can understand the monetary reason for the hug pillow but with Kanna it is two levels of wrong due to her apparent age and because she is the child of the Kobayashi family. So while it is just a drawing on a hug pillow there is a reason that this type of product is controversial.

Then just don't buy it. You're not going to ban these products when other people want to buy them. Kanna is the most popular character in the series, and even if you don't like it loli fans will continue getting merch. It's fictional content so this mindset of "I don't like it because it's morally wrong so no one should have it!" is [expletive] stupid.

Well as someone who has watched the show on both Crunchyroll and Funimation as well as buying all of the manga I think it is fair to say that I am a fan of the show. I even posted several weeks ago that it was one of the top 5 anime of 2017. I think that they should have the freedom to make products like that hug pillow but I am also free to criticize it.

And your criticism is also free to receive criticism itself, that's how the internet works. You come onto a news story about the product with other people that like it then of course you're going to be called out for complaining about it. You're a fan of the series but the series and the creator himself lewds the heck out of Kanna many times, so seeing a hug pillow of her isn't far removed from what's already been done. The author also makes a lot of loli and shota hentai doujins...so again this is nothing new.
