It's a fun little joke; I wonder if it'll raise the sales of the DVD version - people wanting the cuter artwork, and people who want both for the contrast of standard and high def covers.

I'd be cool if FUNimation's BD/DVD release of the show does that as well. However, I know that's pretty unlikely to happen since they release their catalog titles in BD+DVD combo packs.

Don't dvd's still cost 20 gorillion dollars per episodes as well? I think those people would likely just wait for scans to come out and then print them.

I can't believe they're keeping to the "Blu-Ray version" gag from one of their comics. My only hope is that the anime itself is a completely different art style on Blu-Ray, too.
