9.1% for Chihayafuru Kami no Ku and 6.3% for Shimo no ku. Would have liked the latter to have been a little higher but those are respectable numbers, I think.
Kami no Ku's 9.1% made it the highest ranked film that week while 6.3% means fourth position, behind the second Aibō film (11.1%), Non Stop (8.9%) and Monsters University (6.9%) which aired in the same period as Shimo no ku. Was to be expected since cuts are frequently made for Friday night Roadshows but still prefer the films without those edits. Commentary made accessible on the sub-channel and online a rather goofy addition. Chihayafuru Musubi appears to be well received by those who've already seen this third instalment of the live-action trilogy in a Japanese cinema - since its theatrical release a week ago. Had a good time with all three, personally. Too soon to expect any, probably, but already curious what sort of disk packages are being considered - for the films themselves and for all the bonus materials. Hope the stand-alone rental disk for 『ちはやふる－繋ぐ－』 (and 『－学び－』) will be for sale separately as well. Yuki Suetsugu's "Chihayafuru World" exhibition appears to have attracted a nice audience on opening day, yesterday, as well. |
