Back in 2004.

You know the DEENime doesn't count for most Fate fans. Still, we'll likely get a ufotable animated Fate route at around the same time Type Moon finishes their Tsukihime remake...

actually the DEEN version uses parts of all three routes but ends in the fate/avalon route!

the problem with that notion is that those hardcore fate VN fans are technically in the minority cause for the fact that the rest of the world do count it for many reasons!

for one is that its source materials are NSFW so at that time that version was the best way to be introduced to the series without having to see the ero stuff.

not to mention that a majority of the western fans, including myself absolutely over the moon for its OP "dillusion" which got a remake as a special ending theme for ep 12 in UBW! if the DEEN versions was that disdained in every way, the OP wouldn't have made its way in the UBW TV series!

is the DEEN version perfect!? OF COURSE NOT!!! does it need a remake!? sure! but it definitely does count as part of the franchise no matter how many times those type-moon VN junkies want to erase its existence!
