It's really sad to see how many creators left us in 2018, some of them like Stan Lee and Isao Takahata were really old so there deaths were understandable, but others like Kouji Tsujitani, Toshiko Fujita and Unsho Ishizuka left us too soon. May all of them rest in peace.
Also, I know this article mainly focuses in people from Japan and the U.S, so I would like to pay my respects to José Lavat, a mexican voice actor who died on May 15, 2018. Anime fans in latin-america knew him as the narrator in Dragon Ball, from episode 61 of the original series up to episode 106 in Super, he also voiced Soichiro Yagami in Death Note and characters like Gandalf, Indiana Jones, Magneto and Count Dooku in the latin-american dubs of the live-action movies, among many others characters and actors.

We lost so many great talents in 2018. Thank you for what all of you provided for the world of creative arts.

I'm shocked to learn of the deaths of Karyn Dwyer and Mahito Tsujimura. I didn't even see their articles. Damn.

Thank you for sharing! Latin American voice actors have a lot of reach, probably more so than North American voice actors. This is an English language site, but it's nice to pay respects to people who've worked on anime in all languages.

What?! I hadn't heard about this.

Man, I'll never forget Mr. Lavat's voice. He was a really big part of the franchise in LATAM. May he rest in peace, along the people from this article.
