Ritsu, Kisa and Hiro look great! Their animal forms look great, too. I still like how they made the effort to make the Sohmas' animal forms look more like realistic animals, as opposed to their rather cartoony designs in the manga and 2001 anime.

so my esitmate of 24 episodes was off by one lol. Oh well Official title is still "Fruits Basket 1st season" and I hope sites start fixing that by the time 2nd season comes out. New characters look great!

I'm glad they're not splitting up the cours and we're getting the second cour right away so we can get past the material the original anime already covered at a faster rate. I'm glad we'll have more Fruits Basket to look forward to during the summer season.

The new character designs all look great. I only recognize Reina Ueda, but all the seiyuu will probably be great fits.
I imagine Funimation will probably announce the English VA's soon. The current season definitely had the pacing of a 2-cour, so happy to have that confirmed. I guess the only question is how many cour the other seasons will be. Looking forward to the new Opening and Ending. |

Tecnically the designs for Hiro and Kisa are not new. I mean, both appear at the ending. So According to the article, 25 episodes, they will adapt the same as the first anime: spoiler[The secret of Kyo and How Tooru saves him.] Also, according to manga, spoiler[Hiro shows up after what happened to Kyo, but meh, who cares. I want to see this jelousy boy.] And finally, Seems that manga readers have to wait spoiler[until second season to see rooster and horse]. I can wait.
I want to read comments of the viewers of this adaption only. I mean, about Ritsu. Shigure said once there are 3 woman on the Souma family that are part of the 12 horoscopes. |

Oh good they are finally adding Kisa Soma in the anime now and she is my favorite character in all of Fruits Basket cause she is so adorable, tiny and cuttte!

The title is still obviously "1st season" as it's been said that season 1 will have 25 episodes! It'll be called "Fruits Baskets 2nd season" when episode 26 will start (in 2020 or 2021?) |
