Also, where the HECCY is the damn demo, Square? It's been on PSN for so long now but unavailable for people who don't have a hacked console. They've had plenty of opportunities to make it publicly available. Like, they could've unlocked it on the day they announced the delay, to soften the blow of that (though it admittedly wasn't such a massive blow with it only being pushed into the following month) or now with this new trailer to further sweeten the deal.
I don't know. I just want the demo, man!

Calling it. GotY. This is the most I've been excited for a game in years and years.

Looks like it's going to surpass the hype. Somehow SE didn't mess it up....

The trailers have been great and while Cloud is no Astolfo that is a classy looking dress. I am a little surprised that they included the Honey Bee Inn segment in the remake but I am guessing that a lot of it will be toned down.

It's been so long since I played original I don't remember the story correctly. But from what I remember is that red xiii doesn't appear till later in the game. And the first episode is only supposed to be the midgar area.

You get red XIII in midgar when you go into the Shinra building.

You get Red XIII towards the of the end of the Shinra building right before you escape Midgar. But just seeing Jenova BIRTH in the trailer tells us they're changing things considerably since you originally don't fight it until many hours after leaving Midgar on the cargo ship to Costa del Sol. It's also interesting to see references to Before Crisis being implemented.

This is the best trailer for this remake so far. I like they're being faithful to the original game while adding some new twists, although I think some people will complain about the changes, but I think Square should do what Capcom did with the RE2 reamke and just by looking at this trailer it seems like they're doing just that.
I also hope that people won't complain too much about dialogue changes compared to the original, I know that some lines and mistranslations like "This guy are sick" and "Off Course" are fondly remembered, but I always wanted an accurate translation, especially since I played the European Spanish version which had a lot more mistakes, and in some occassions made the plot almost incomprehensible.

I can perfectly understand people preferring "Aeris" over "Aerith" (we're not saying "Aeris" is fundamentally wrong as a transliteration of Earisu; just that it's an unintended one that happened to be in the most conspicuous place in the whole game). But people really ought not to expect actual errors to be maintained.

Of course, many of these errors do kinda alter many story- and character-defining moments (e.g., there was love between Aerith and Zack, but they weren't in any relationship like the original translation said), so I guess disappointment can't be helped in those cases.

Hmm the Trailer has me a little more excited then I was before, and also cross-dressing Cloud is beautiful. I was a little worried it might get massively tamed down.

Now my worry is whether or not they might for some insane reason cut Vincent out of the game completely.

Also, I thought Red came like in the second disc for some reason. It's literally been forever.

Oh, some fans definitely do, and some companies oblige them. People were upset that the PSP port of Symphony of the Night got an actual good translation and voice acting and removed a lot of the meme dialog between Richter and Dracula. Square-Enix still uses a lot of outdated and weird translations like "spoony bard" despite them being blatantly wrong. I expect if Cloud saying "let's mosey" isn't in the final game people will complain. Hopefully they add a Japanese voice option for the American version, at the very least.
