While my immediate first reaction of Yabuki’s next work not being To Love Ru related was minor disappointment, thinking over it more now has me quite excited to see how it will turn out. To think that this will be his first new series that has him both drawing and writing by himself since Black Cat has me very intrigued in seeing how much the past 15 years of his career will impact this new work.

Now that Darlifra manga adaptation is already over, I expected him, along with Hasemi, to start working in To Love Ru again since both said the series has a lot of story left after Darkness' ending. WHY YABUKI??

I know that SJ is always looking for the next big thing and can be quick to axe a series that isn't doing well, but putting so many new series out at once just seems like a bit much.

I personally think it's kinda a surprise seeing two veterans getting serialized again, but I'm always looking forward to new titles.
Like others I am curious though. What's the deal the To-Love-Ru? |

This is pretty standard - they're just bringing in new series to replace ones that are leaving. Yuuna and Neverland are ending, and almost certainly 1 or 2 other, newer series are getting the axe soon. 2-4 new series at time is pretty standard, though there was one time the brought in 6 new series at once. 2 of those (Dr. Stone and We Never Learn) ended up lasting and getting anime series. Funnily enough, that batch also included some veterans. Riichiro Inagaki with Dr. Stone, Ryuhei Tamura with Hungry Marie, and Tadatoshi Fujimaki with Robot x Laserbeam. |

Seeing how next month will be the 20th anniversary of when Black Cat came out, I was hoping Yabuki would do something for it. But curious to see where this goes. Was never a fan of to Love Ru, so hopefully this new manga catches my interest.
Lol...he said that with Black Cat too and it has been 15 years so... yeah. |

I was expecting 6 new series since i didn't see Agravity Boys or Guardian of the witch surviving but these 4 are only going to replace Samurai 8, Demon Slayer, Yuna and Neverland so doe sthat mean Agravity and Neverland get an extra 7 weeks of survival.
anyway glad to see Yabuki and Tamura are back, i hope their new series are good. No interest in the weird looking robot one. |

Likely Mitama and Guardian of the Witch. The really interesting thing, though, is that Boku to Robo will be the twelfth new series this publication year, with almost 40% of the year left to go. They don't usually go over eleven in a publication year. So yeah, this is more churn than usual. In fact, going by median chapter number in an issue... I think in a few weeks, Jump might be more dominated by new blood than at any time since 1999. Maybe further. Hell, I had to go back to February 1998 to find an issue with a sub-50 median.
Samurai 8 ended months ago; it doesn't look like it got an immediate replacement. Zipman!! ended a couple weeks later, just before Moriking and Bone Collection started. |

True true. Par for the course or not, it still feels too forced. They really should space it out more. |
