Wow, at first I thought the results won’t be that shocking no matter what, but yes, they are indeed surprising, at this rate I don’t even want to guess which characters are in top 10

I’d be willing to bet that the majority of main characters this far down in the rankings are from Crystal.

The more I think about it the more I'm not sure I trust this data and something must have gone wrong with how they collected the polling data or something. Like I can buy Ami Mizuno might not be as popular as she was 20 years ago but this is almost all the main characters in the lower numbers including Usagi herself. So yeah I just don't buy this polling data. If you don't like the main characters that much why are you still a Sailor Moon fan or taking this poll?

There are separate entries for Sailors and their characters counterparts. So Usagi Tsukino count for one character, and Sailor Moon for another.
Maybe Sailor Mercury and Usagi Tsukino will be in the first 10! |

For me i am surprised that sailor juptier is number 20. Kinda also surprised that venus is below 10.

Not surprised about Ami. She's never been popular and Sailor Pluto too. However, I am VERY surprised Usagi is below the top 10 considering how many people do talk about how relatable she is.

Ami Mizuno was always high ranking in the Animage polls of the 90s though she ranked lower in Nakayoshi’s own Sailor Moon specific polls. But Ami was popular enough to get her own mini movie special and she was more popular with older high school students than Sailor Moon’s target demographic.

Nah, Ami was the #1 waifu back in the day when the show was airing in Japan. I remember seeing her rank super high in those otaku magazine like Animage. Even on this list, she's above all the other inner senshi listed here. Although they are separating the Sailor forms from the civilian forms. "Sailor Mercury" is probably ranked higher than "Mizuno Ami" is. Although I guess it depends if they're going off the manga or crystal or the OG Toei anime. Everyone loved Toei Ami |
