The Official Dub is the Netflix one? Maybe my English is rusty, but as far as I know the classic dub is still a official dub.

I asked this question on the All the anime Facebook. The official dub is the Netflix dub and the Classic dub is the original "Spike Spencer etc" version.
Just pre-ordered the collectors edition as the standard edition only has the netflix dub. Confused
But yes I agree, the official dub is and always will be the classic version in my opinion.

So the ADV dub is exclusive to the Ultimate and Collector's editions, people had speculated that before.

Given that the standard edition has 6 less discs despite having the same amount amount of content, the extra 6 discs must contain the ADV dub. Which is strange, they didn't do that with Escaflowne which also had 2 dubs and placed them on the same discs. Was it just done this way so they could print them for both a standard release, then just do a limited number for the other editions. Or is this a case of the ADV dub not being on a HD transfer.

this is probably khara's demand. As far as they are concerned,the Netflix dub is their definitive version,whether fans like it or not

Has GKids given any info on standard editions in NA? Man that really sucks if the same thing of the ADV dub not being included in the standard editions is also a thing in the US. Or are there 3 versions? An Ultimate, a Collector’s, and a Standard? If that’s also the same in NA, I’ll gladly get the Collector’s Edition (since the Ultimate is already sold out).

Edit: Nevermind, GKids did announce Collector’s and Standard editions today, but for some reason ANN isn’t reporting on it. Got my order in on Rightstuf for the Collector’s. https://twitter.com/GKIDSfilms/status/1432297042165092353

Maybe I should have waited for the Standard Edition. I actually prefer the VSI/Netflix English dub (well, I prefer the Japanese version the most) and don’t need all the clutter the extras of the Ultimate Edition are. The UE won’t even fit into the drawers I keep my anime in.
