Now that's some old stuff to license.
I remember watching the Ragnarok anime while grinding my swordman on greatest generals (with an ice lance). It was terrible.

If Youtube makes it restricted access/over 18 only, maybe not? Otherwise, it was rated TV-MA, so for other setups, my guess is yes. ANN did reviews of this, and they mention the violence and very revealing fanservice. They also gave disk one a B+ for everything but Story, and that got a B. The last review gave Story an A. It's not my kind of a show, but the reviews make it sound pretty good.

Here's a link to the first review:

The AWO folks also did a review of it, particularly the mostly non-existent outfits, and if you don't mind their style, I think it was very informative. And pretty funny. Your mileage may vary.

Damn, talk about a blast from the past. I never thought I would hear from the Witchblade anime ever again. And I just rewatched that show last year for nostalgia's sake. But there's one thing about this article that leaves me scratching my head. The Witchblade anime is already available for free on Funimation's Youtube channel. So I'm wondering why they would re-upload a show that's already on their channel.

I don't think so. Because the version that Funimation has on their Youtube channel is completely uncensored. But it is an age restricted video.

I don't remember much about Ragnarok today, but I do recall not enjoying it much when I was watching it fansubbed during it's original Japanese broadcast. It's very rare for me to NOT buy the domestic release after watching a title fansubbed, but Ragnarok was one such title.

Perhaps this is why.

Funimation is streaming the anime with English subtitles in the U.S., Canada, Latin America, Australia, New Zealand, India, the Philippines, and Singapore. Gonzo is streaming the anime worldwide without subtitles.

Mean while Gonzo seems to be the ones streaming ti Dubbed. Note: I have not checked either channel so apologies if am wrong or off her in case they already had em subbed and or dubbed b4 this.

It was pretty bad...
Of course I don't remember all the details but I do remember the MC being an unlikable selfish brat, it not being a good representation of how the game feels, the romance between the hunter and the assassin being eh and the edge being laid on pretty thick, with all the humanoid monsters suffering melodramatic fates (and oh boy the merchant's backstory). I think production values were also pretty choppy but it's too far in the past.
It had its funny moments like the jetpack for Shield Boomerang or the merchant one-shooting a powerful enemy with Mammonmite, but it just didn't compensate.

Yeah, I really enjoyed that one.
Never saw Ragnarok since impressions weren't too good, but I liked a lot of Gonzo's other shows back then so it's cool if they put a bunch of those old shows up from when I really enjoyed that studio's work even though I own a lot of them.

Any word on what's delaying Burst Angel on FUNi's YT channel?
