It's been a wild ride.

Looking forward to see what (if any) major revisions for the finale compared to the web version.

That should hopefully give the author plenty of time/space to come to a proper conclusion. Hopefully we can see it animated =)

Supposedly (and this is from reddit, so you know ...) the anime tries to match up pacing more with the manga than the novels because the manga (and it's many spin-offs) are more popular/sell better than the novels in Japan. So who knows what they'll do.

I found the current pacing of Tensura to be way too slow. Hopefully they improve it. It will take 150 episodes to adapt the rest of Tensura at the current pace, even if Fuse ends it soon. Adapting a single volume into a full season is the definition of filler.

The anime is incredibly popular and they're not going to just drop the anime after doing two seasons and a movie and it's still doing well for them. I imagine it will probably be awhile after the movie till they do the next season.

At its current speed of 1 volume per season, it will take like 3 decades for the anime to get completed, and by then I think interest in the franchise would severely drop.
