That's a freaking weird coincidence, I just started watching the original series yesterday. I can't really say it's good but I'm also around 4x the age of the target demographic lol. The character designs look better in this.

Edit: just realized the article says the original series started in 2021, but it started in 2020. I assume the toy line also released in 2020 instead of 2021 too

Likewise, guilty as charged. I think it depends on how one defines "good." Shows like this aren't made to win awards, but I'd say the enthusiasm and raw entertainment value generally make up for it.

The first "season" now has a 2-hour movie cut available on Takara Tomy's YouTube channel, and while it's not subbed, it's also (miraculously) not region locked. Guess I know what I'm doing with my afternoon...
