Action series: Magi, BTOOOM! and the continuation of Sword Art Online

Thanks for the suggestions! I never watched any of those, but one of my online anime friends was recently enthusing to me about the delights of To Love-ru. Is it destiny? Maybe I need to watch this...

Also I have the first season of Magi on blu-ray, I need to get around to watching it some day...

I watched and absolutely loved From the New World, also watched and absolutely HATED E7 AO, pronounced "oww" because that is both correct and what I say when I think of what Bones did to E7 as a sequel. Agree with the reviewer at all points...

No mention of Senki Zesshou Symphogear. It's a pretty crazy and fun show - the animation for that first season is a bit rough (I guess because it wasn't given much budget) but it ended up with 5 seasons, which are all definitely worth watching.

Shinsekai was phenomenal. I enjoyed Chunnibuyo and OniAi was great too. 2012 is a W.

Symphogear was Winter 2012, and I discussed it in the article covering that season:

Weirdly it seems like I haven't watched many shows from Fall 2012 despite having Psycho Pass, K, From the New World, and Little Busters near the top of my to watch list for years. Maybe I should fix that, especially with Psycho Pass

I wanna put a shoutout to Kamisama Kiss, I'll always lament it not getting a full adaptation

Glad to see Space Brothers getting some much-deserved love; that always felt like the (not-so) little series that could to me, a very budget-friendly series that knew how to play to its strengths. Also all that Eureka talk reminded me that I really should get around to watching the original.

I started watching weekly simulcasts in Spring 2012, and I stil consider Fall 2012 to be the best anime season ever. Everyone should give From the New World and Psycho-Pass a watch.

My take away from this article is how long some properties can last for various reasons. Several titles mention recently finished, are still ongoing, or recently started again, even though we're talking about 10 years ago.

Yeah! That's why it was such an interesting season to cover, with several links to recent/ongoing anime releases. I wonder what from this current season will still be represented in 2032...

I enjoyed the first Magi season a bit more then the second and if you're going to watch the Love-ru's you must start at the beginning just to understand the motivation behind the girls going after Rito, (which always drove me nuts, he's so bland and to be honest, I'm a way bigger fan of the manga, especially the artwork).

I wouldn't bother with space brothers, neat concept that gets bogged down in melo dramatic non sense and spin its wheels hardcore. Honestly felt more like a soap opera.

Is that Shinsekai Yori? I remember watching the first episode which I thought was eerie and mysterious in the best possible way. I can't even remember why I never watched the whole series in the end, but for some strange reason I was getting similar vibes from Summertime Render this year and suddenly remembered that show. They're probably very different shows in the end, though, but I'm looking forward to finally checking Shinsekai out.
