Without knowing what these "various circumstances" are, it's probably presumptuous of me to say, but I wish delaying an anime happened more often. Prior to the Covid years, I don't remember delays being a common occurrence. Maybe it happens behind the scenes, but usually not when the release date / season has been announced. Of course, a delay doesn't mean the production team is working under better circumstances.

Bummer, but I don’t mind waiting if it means more quality control and a better show in the long run.

From what I read, the animation producer of this show (Akihiro Sekiyama) and his team (to a lesser extent) are busy working on Iruma-kun's third season so of course he had his reasons for pushing the delay to happen.

Delaying something may come with contracts being broken. Adding to that no one should want a delay for anime when in almost every case this causes issues with those involved in the process (Such as what i mentioned above) on TOP of the fact it usually indicates problems with those involved which makes their work load harder becus they typically have another anime they have to work on. Deadlines mean u don't get a break and u don't get to take it easy.

Yikes. Birdie Wing got whacked off back to Spring when they first aired the season. Quite a bummer but oh well...Lives are in stakes if they stick to what they have planned.
