Yes, AKB48 had an anime series. KARA had an animated series called KARA: The Animation. Pretty Rhythm: Dear My Future starred the members of Prizmmy and the K-pop group Puretty. There also have been plenty of manga based on real-life bands. Hey! Say! JUMP had one, Morning Musume had a long-running series in Nakayoshi in the early 2000s, Tokyo Style Bomb had w-inds. make cameo appearances as side characters, and Dori Sakurada himself even appeared in a Sho-Comi comic. |
