Let's sit back and see how censored this will be, lol. Hopefully there will be an uncensored version floating around out there.

That is a reason I am sticking to the manga.

The series isn't airing on AT-X, so the uncut version probably won't be out there until the Japanese blu-rays release.

EDIT: AT-X has updated their lineup and they will be airing Ayakashi Triangle after all. However, it remains to be seen if they'll get any exclusive uncut version to air or not. At this time, their site doesn't list an age restriction for the series like other comparable titles tend to.

Wow, as far as the actual animation is concerned this is by far the best-looking anime to be announced/come out recently. Show's me that there's still hope for anime created digitally.

I think people are also just really overestimating how explicit the series actually is with its fanservice. This isn't like World's End Harem or Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World where there's on-screen sex scenes. The most Ayakashi Triangle really gets up to is bath scenes, boob pratfalls, and unrealistically detailed cameltoe, which is all pretty standard for ecchi series.

So... Ranma 1/2 without the back and forth between genders?

You're correct, but I don't think many are really expecting on-screen sex or anything. I imagine most discussing what level of explicitness to expect are at least somewhat familiar with the manga, and generally know how far this series does and doesn't go.

I think it's more about the artistry than anything, a core appeal of the original manga. I think people just want the series to be able to visually convey what the manga has with a similar level of love and care as the original, but unfortunately being a TV anime means there will be some level of broadcast regulations impacting the visuals during the series' airtime. Even though AyaTri is comparatively tame compared to those other recent ecchi titles, it still embraces the ecchi aspects wholeheartedly when it makes use of them, and they're a pretty big part of the series identity.

If we discount the MTF-genderbending part, it's nothing like Ranma.

While not as explicit as those, it's still explicit enough that it got treated poorly when it was being released in the United States. It's also explicit enough that those of us who have read it are expecting them to very much censor it

I know the nipples will be censored, but the camera angles like in the bath scenes better stay the same.

Is it possible it doesn't have an age restriction because there aren't on-screen sex scenes like the others and not because it's censored?

I know, different studio, different director, different staff, and all, but for you worrying about the level of explicitness, perhaps you could gauge it from another Aniplex fanservice-laden show, Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Springs.
