He will most likely keep most of his old roles.

What he did was incredibly shitty, but profesionally his voice is still one of the most recognizable, and iconic at this point.

And, if I'm being honest, I have a feeling that many other voice actors, including the "pure ones" faren't exactly the angels themselves, and that everyone they are working with knows it.

I wouldn’t count on it.

I think the biggest blow he could suffer would be losing Cloud

Well, I guess with his current controversy he would be the only reprisal really in question.

Whatever my opinions on Sakurai though, I couldn't imagine anyone else but him as JP Suzaku.

What matters is whether the public knows it. In this industry, keeping a clean image is paramount, either by following all the rules, or trying one's damnedest to pretend to.

Agreed. Suzaku is one of his most iconic roles. No one else would sound right.

The fact is no one really cares about other voice actors doing things, if it's not known to the public.

Meanwhile everything (hopefully lmao) that Takahiro Sakurai did is now common knowledge, and the negative rap will definitely impact him.

Sure he might not lose some of his old roles, but he's already started being recast in a couple roles picked up nowadays, there's always potential for other companies to start doing that.

This was expected. Aside from CG being a top 5 voted series in Japanese polls, Suzaku is a highly popular character that has repeatedly appeared in NewType magazine rankings as a top 10 voted male character (Lelouch is typically #1 in the poll) during the original CG phenomenon in 06-07 to the 2019 (this was around last time I was keeping up) rankings when the movies were being released (he was #2 behind Lelouch). Sakurai is Suzaku.

There's nothing to think about. Cloud is his most iconic role and has been since Kingdom Hearts 1. He's not going to lose the role because Nomura won't allow it. Nomura specifically chose him to be Cloud. For the unaware, Daisuke Namikawa (it doesn't matter if he is less popular than Sakurai, it was cheating with employee while married) was also in a cheating scandal (on and off relationship) that was revealed in 2017. He was married in 2001 and it started in 2004. The woman stated "until recently" back when it was revealed. He continued work with no issue. The Square Enix game connections: Namikawa had voiced Adam in NieR: Automata earlier that year and reprised the role for the anime in January. He also voiced young Eraqus in KH3 in 2019.

Next, Nobuhiko Okamoto got caught cheating in 2020. He continued with no issue (unless it went unreported). He voiced the protagonist in NieR: Replicant back in 2010. He reprised the role for the rerelease in 2021.

Last, Tatsuhisa Suzuki. Cheated on his high profile wife LiSA with a "work associate", which was revealed in July 2021. He got his band put on hiatus which was eventually disbanded thus affecting the livelihood of others. LiSA also had to go on hiatus for a bit. He intentionally stepped down from the Ultraman role, replaced in other roles (mostly due to his hiatus), and retained previous roles. As the offender in the situation impacting the lives of others, he had the audacity to "attempt suicide" for getting caught and was hospitalized as if he was the victim, which is sickening. He apologized and has been getting roles since. He voiced Eve in NieR: Automata back in 2017. He reprised the role in the anime in January. The roles Namikawa and Suzuki play in Automata are "brothers" that appear on screen together and are marketed together, especially for the anime. Any knowledgeable person knows how wild that casting has now become after the original games release. Plus, the Replicant rerelease with Okamoto.

This was all connected to Sakurai and his role as Cloud, btw. He's not losing the role because of Nomura, and Square Enix clearly not having an issue with cheaters retaining their roles and getting new roles for their games. In the event Square ever decides to replace him as Cloud to save their image all because the female associate Sakurai was cheating with ended up in the hospital and left the industry, Sakurai has prior evidence to use.

You are right. Sadly for Suzuki that Draken's role was replaced by another voice actor. I hope that Sakurai won't lose any more roles and he will be asked to voice the new ones! I wish him all the best!
