I've been reading the Sasaki and Peeps light novels, and it is interesting. Though I suspect it will get a tad controversial once it airs...

I know that at this point I should just accept reality, but I cannot help feeling upset every time Crunchyroll licenses something that I want for Sentai/HIDIVE.

I will be less concerned if I there was more guarantee that Crunchyroll is going to release what I like for them on BD.

Haha, That’s another MBS produced title (A Sign of Affection) CR has licensed. Real talk, this “partnership” Sentai has with MBS is starting to look completely useless.

Like that other comment said, HIDIVE licenses block a huge portion of the world from being able to see the anime on their service. Even though I personally like HIDIVE for what it brings me, they’re pretty bad to so many other anime fans.

I think the "partnership" is only limited or to selected MBS produced titles and not all of them. Similar to the Kodansha and Disney partnership wherein there are still a lot of Kodansha titles being licensed to CR and HIDIVE.

I thought of that "partnership" as a preferent seat to acquire the shows they have to offer, I mean I don't think Mainichi Broadcasting System would tie it's own hands with a company with no money to spend.

One thing that you have to realize is that Sony is a consumer antagonistic company and as such really doesn't give a shit what customers want-I want physical releases releases, not vaporware streaming crap. It seems they are only going to release maybe 1/3 of what they license on disc (if that) which to me is total bs. Sentai cares way more about what their customers want and gets my business-for other stuff there's the high seas which more people are using.
