Between this and the recent Natsume’s Book of Friends dub, it’s nice that some of the NIS titles are getting a second chance.

As a lover of the sub version of this title, this news doesn't impact me personally, but I'm sure there are a lot of fans of Kimi ni Todoke who will be very pleased, so I'm happy on their behalf.

Man

15 goddamn years

Pretty much gave up hope.

I have the NIS DVDs, but they need to put this on BD.

This being one of my favorite romcom's it makes me happy it's getting an English dub. This being on Netflix which I cancelled years ago makes me worried for a physical release.

It took 15 years for this anime to get an English dub, I think a lot of people already know about the English dub if they've been watching the anime on Netflix and saw the dub cast credit despite the English dub hasn't been included yet. I guess I won't mind re-watching the anime with the dub to see how it'll turn out.

Now I'm hoping for Pandora Hearts to get a dub, since that was also a NIS America license.

What a pleasant surprise. I love it! This is a good show. I hope more old anime shows get English dubs.

Not necessarily old shows, but backlogged anime shows.

I don't know what's more amazing, that Kimi ni Todoke has finally been dubbed or that the cast is utterly perfect.

Now to wait and see when Netflix will release it... Smile

EDIT: Apparently they already did. Must've missed that.

The Neutral Spanish dub was added to Netflix as well, though its existence was leaked a copule of months ago, and interestingly the cast is completely different from the live-action series' dub version, with the exception of the character of Shōta Kazehaya who is still voiced by José Luis Piedra. Both casts are great, but I kind of like when the live-action and animated version share the same voice cast, Horimiya's live-action Neutral Spanish dub has the same cast as the anime version and in the Zom 100 anime Akira, Shizuka and Kencho's VA from the movie rerpised their roles in the Neutral Spanish dub as well

Pretty funny that Netflix also managed to dub this in Latin Spanish but not in Brazilian Portuguese (they also did the same in Scissor Seven for some reason). Netflix used to dub the live-action show in that language, anyway.

This show also used to have a previous dub in French, but Netflix also redubbed it in the language.
