One of the most beautiful opening theme songs ever. With the anime intro it fits so bloody well and is so beautiful. Clannad will be my first visual novel I bought, if i dont buy something before that Razz.

With Clannad closing in on half a million dollars pledged, it's fun to speculate on whether its outsized success will get noticed by VN rights-holders in Japan. Maybe this proves there's enough of a market here to loosen up Type-Moon and âge enough get Fate/Stay Night or Muv-Luv released in English?

If that video is a preview of what we should expect the final product to be (sub-wise and resolution-wise), then I'm relaxed. Only thing left is for the KickStarter to actually end, and Sekai Project to get the funds.

That's great with the song karaoke and all, but I was hoping they could remove all the Japanese texts, like they asked the raw video file to the creators. With subs added like that, it felt more like fanwork than official.

Honestly, I think the way it's translated is simply the best way to go about it. Many anime releases done now simply leave the Japanese text as is, only translating the credits at the end of the release as a black screen with a text roll.

In a way, it's nice to see the original Japanese text retained - especially if you're making the decision to use kanji/romanji karaoke.
