Hoping that this gets released over here, I wonder what the English-language pun names will be?

I'm very excited for this. I wonder what setting this is. Malaysia? Thailand?

Please call in Maya for backup!!

Sounds quite interesting. Phoenix has really taken an interest in legal systems in other countries.

Seconded, but it seems more likely that her part will be filled by the 'mysterious female character'. If she's a good character, I don't mind that. I just hope Maya at least gets to -appear- this time. Even if it's just in some 'where are they now?' segment.

I'm assuming this will be a fictional foreign country as the games have used those before. I'm interested, though.

I also find it kind of funny that someone pointed out recently that Phoenix's official character art seems to get angrier with each new game, and now I can't stop noticing it.

Premise sounds like Professor Layton VS Ace Attorney without the Layton.

Phoenix going to a foreign country out of his charitable good nature to free them from their shamanic ways.

Really though, is it easier to localize this than the prequel set in Japan?

Yeah, that's why I'm more excited for this than Great Ace Attorney. If Great Ace Attorney gets a localization announcement, then I'll get excited for it. After AAI2, I've learned to not get excited until I see the western release confirmation.

I was going to say that if he were to be an attorney in a foreign country, he'll have to deal with that country's laws, which would be very different from Japan/Amerijapan. Sounds like he doesn't give a spit about that though.

I'm getting vibes of Nepal or northeastern Afghanistan from this.

If you wound up in cases where the cosmic forces seem to want your head as frequently as he does, you'd get increasingly angry as the years go by too.

Maybe the country doesn't even have a bar exam because it's run incredibly poorly, or maybe the country's legal system is corrupt and people cheat their exams (like India's medical exams) so it's pointless anyway.
